Pretty good little thermostat so far, only difficulty was setting up the wifi as both themostats made me go thru the motions twice each to get it to connect. Even the person who was walking me thru the smart-home features of my new construction home said that many run into that problem. BUT it did work eventually so it's good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use and program. Sometimes minor glitches but not a show stopper.
Very convenient and not as expensive as other WiFi thermostats.
Have not used the geofencing feature, the basic programs work for us.

I have had a difficult time figuring out what is supposed to be a simple thermostat. Also, my not smart thermostat was able to store both the high and low temperatures and switch automatically to either cooling or heating. Set cool at 78 and heat at 68 and put it on "auto" and it would take care of the rest.
This thermostat either doesn't do that or I can't figure it out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
