At my old house we had a different thermostat that was much simpler and easier to connect to on the phone. We could also set the dial for the amount of time we would like it to be on, but we cannot do that with this one, it's either on or off. I'd prefer to be able to set a timer so I don't have to get up to find my phone or just go to the thermostat. I am being a bit picky with this, but my old thermostat was also cheaper and felt like it was made with better care and quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
