This thermostat does all that it promises. It works! I can't over emphasise the pleasure derived from making an app selection on my iPhone and then seeing my current HVAC situation...or waking up in the middle of the night and its too hot or too cold and just reaching over, grabbing my phone and correcting the situation. I'm not spending much time discussing the reliability of the controls because it is not a factor. The first Honeywell thermostat I had in my house was in 1965 and we had heat and air, I was 10 (my stepdad designed controls for Honeywell). I've had a variety of thermostats over the years and Honeywells were always my favorite, because of reliability. I was thrilled to look at my new thermostat after a downstair system replacement and discover it was a Honeywell! And even better it opened the door to WIFI control off my system. I am currently discussing with my HVAC company the possibility of putting a similar thermostat on my upstair system.
