This thermostat works fine as a normal programmable stat but I've tried a dozen times to connect it to our wifi following the step by step instructions with the same result, "can't connect". Seems to be wasted money at this point.

It will not recognize my Wifi. I have tried to connect many many times. Went both ways. Through the app and manually. As a contractor and as a consumer. It won’t work. It may be because I have a 5g 1,000 mbps internet signal and no 2.4 which means this product is behind the times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only reason I put 4 out 5 stars is because it sometimes goes blank, and does not allow me to make any changes. Also, the light turns on randomly throughout the day...for no reason at all.
