I do not know if my specific unit is defective or the generic series has issues. My unit never goes below 70F even when it is cold outside.

It is great because of how easy it is to use and how it can connect via WiFi to the Smart Phone. The only thing is that this model does not switch between cool and heat while having the schedule option. One has to switch is between those two.
