In the manual mode this works just like you would want. Setting up the app, was a long infuriating process even for one who has built and spent years writing code. Constant crashes and restarts. After giving up, hunting for youtube and other information, retrying, stopping, retrying, it finally installed. Now instead of just showing me the current status, it wants to reprogram every time I query the app. Over about a month of use, it is very reliable dropping the temperature in the evening, but in the morning it is raising the temperature at least an hour earlier than it is set. Reprogramming at the thermostat itself confirms the correct time and temperature are set, even when the base screen is reporting an hour early that it is both set to the daytime temp, not night, and at that daytime temp. I've used Honeywell products for decades and also completed several engineering projects teamed with their tech staff and always been impressed with the quality of their work. This is surprising and disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not very user friendly to use. Our other Thermostat from Bryant much better, Installer probably took home for himself to use in place of his own T6 Thermostat. Nothing but problems.

The review asked if this was purchased on line or in a store.
Neither! A new furnace was installed and this is the thermostat they put in.
That exposes an obvious flaw in this questionnaire, and makes much more sense of the fact I was so negligent in not reading reviews before purchasing.
Another questionnaire issue: performance rating: 5 star manual mode, 1 start auto mode.
Value: Cost not called out on the furnace invoice, so I don't know.

Easily programmable, multi functioned, I can set temps for home for both day and night and also keep a vacation setting with programmable dates for temperatures while away. All of these can be changed either temporarily or permanently from my phone or on the thermostat itself.
