Some glitches relating to geofencing—sometimes not detecting while in periphery—and no dead time in selecting between cooling or heating modes so that the heat pump gets fuse jumped. Just stopped recognizing router to wifi after power surge: I had to reinstall the entire software and reboot wifi system.
Our new Honeywell T6 Pro Smart T-Stat works great and gives us the ability to efficiently and economically keep our home comfortable. The programable and remote access features are easy to set up and use.
Being that it is supposed to be a smart thermostat...It has a long way to go to graduate. Temp modes have to be set manually instead of say the Nest that keeps the temp within a range switching automatically.
Our previous house had a Google Nest, and this was installed in our new house by the builder... Oh how I miss the Nest... This thing marks us as away when we're sitting in the room with it and all of a sudden it's warming the house to 80 when it's 92 degrees outside.
When I moved into my new home, it already had a nice programmable Honeywell thermostat. A few days later, I had a security system installed. I was told that I had the wrong type of thermostat and needed a “Z Waze“ version of essentially the same device. An argument between the developer and the security provider in sued. Neither one and two incurred the cost of the switch. The developers suggested that I stay with my current Wi-Fi enabled thermostat and use the Resideo app to control only the thermostat. That worked really well, and I especially love the “Geo fencing“ feature that changes the thermostat to energy saving settings when I get 1 mile away from my home, and then back to regular settings when I return and cross that 1 mile radius.
