An excellent purpose. Does what we need and more. The updated features are very nice. Double check to see if your previous thermostat has a C wire before starting the process of changing it out.

I had read some unflattering reviews of this model before we had it installed. We did have it professionally installed along with a new HVAC system so I am sure it was installed correctly. It was easy to set up and super easy to use. We also installed the phone app and it works like a charm. Super happy with this.

Rated 3 stars due to not letting owner name the thermostat. An irritating issue to me having to use what the Pro-6 thinks is a good name for location. I prefer something like living room/bedroom/upstairs etc.
