Five years with 3 of these, they are great

I have had 3 of these in 2 homes for 5 years. After installation which was a little but not terrible work for me to do myself, they have worked well. I also have an Carrier Infinity remote thermostat which is more colorful and has more options - and I have thought repeatedly of replacing it with a T6 as the T6 works more intuitively both on the wall and via the app. I understand the WiFi issues reported by others but have had no issues myself. I have recommended this thermostat to others.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Three of these units were installed in a new home and within 16 months, 2 of them have stopped working

No support unable to add to Alexa devices

I will be replacing this thermostat with a Nest. Honeywell does not have any support for this. I bought it because it was Alexa supported. Now it doesn't work.

They die quickly.

Our home was built with two of these thermostats, one on each floor, controlling our heating and cooling systems. In less than three years, we have had three occurrences of these things spontaneously burning out (i.e., suddenly and permanently losing all functionality) one at a time and needing to be replaced. (We replaced the original ones as they burned out, and now the replacements are burning out.) Our HVAC guy confirms that he does a lot of these replacements of this model because they simply burn out a lot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've lived in our brand new house for 6 years and have 3 zones. One has had the thermostat replaced once, and the other just had its third die. This is becoming quite the little investment. I'll be looking into my other options.

We love the T6 Wi-Fi Thermostat! Our previous thermostat was 16 years old. Although we knew it was no longer holding the temperature, we realized how bad it had been for a long time when we activated the T6. Cooling is better and changing the setting is so easy from our phones. Very pleased!!!
This Thermostat Sucks. It won't even follow its own Schedule. Every morning I come in to work and I have to manually over ride your stupid thermostat. I have it set up to turn on at 6:15 am and turn off at 4:30 p.m. That's it. Not some complicated program. And every morning it just says its in away mode. I'm about 1 week from returning this stupid piece of junk and getting something else.
