Just installed four of these in our vacation home. They are working great and I thank people at Honeywell tech support for their amazing patience and help with ironing out the details of the installation.
The online service does not instantaneously reflect runtime data. Redditors say this used to work, but now you have to wait for 3 days to find out the runtime on any given day.
The smart device’s only interface is through the app. There is no web portal to access it from your desktop. Ecobee provides a web interface, even if janky, so I was expecting any modern consumer oriented smart thermostat to have that. Instead, you must have a phone and run the app even if you’re sitting at your desk using your personal computer. Maybe it would run on BlueStacks—haven’t tried it? The app isn’t listed on Amazon’s store, so using Windows’s Android runtime isn’t an option (yet).
The app does not provide a way to download/view/export detailed runtime data. The Ecobee’s web interface shows a very useful graph showing minute by minute the temperature and whether or not the fan or heat or cooling is on. Resideo’s app only gives you the number of minutes that each system (but not the fan) was running per day. So it is impossible to analyze how your HVAC system runs throughout a daily cycle.
This device is “programmable”—the scheduling is very limited and inflexible. I think this is even the case with an Ecobee. I guess not being flexible is normal for thermostats?

Hi, thanks you for taking the time to the TH6220WF2006, we appreciate the feedback and will utilize your comments as we further update the app.
Terrible architecture top to bottom. Set up has to be done one by one. When you have over 30 thermostats it takes hours. Oh, and you have to do that while on the phone with customer service. Whoever thought this process up needs a new job.

Hi, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and the information that you provided.
Peace of mind while cruising the Baltic for a month. Even with less than ideal internet coverage, we have been able to monitor our system. Couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks
The thermostat is decent for the time being; however, it tends to disconnect from my network quite frequently. I have several years of experience in IT, so I'm confident it's not a network-related problem. Additionally, the app is a bit funky, which makes it somewhat difficult to use. It's an alright product overall.
