Replaced a Gen 3 Nest Learning Thermostat that was 6 months old. Software issues that could not be fixed… While the T6 Pro is easy to use and set up, the construction quality leaves a bit to be desired. Doesn’t fit flush to the wall and the old out of date LCD screen needs to be updated with newer technology. I do like the Resideo App. Could use a delay function for turning on AC / Heater so as not to put additional stress on external AC unit / fan.
Can only be set to heating or cooling (or neither) but not both or auto! So for example, if one day you need it to heat, you need to manually set it to heat, and if the next day you need it to cool, it needs to manually be set to cool. Does not automatically switch between the two.
not possible to program to keep temp stable. One must change mode to heat or cool. IN florida winters, one may need heat at night and cool in the day which requires I switch the mode. Most thermostats will do this automatically.
I installed this in my home in April 2019 to replace a 20yr old thermostat for my heat pump. I has been working fine since and the only issue I have with it is I purchased the external temp sensor, and you don't get any display of the external temp and I have no idea if it's still working correctly. To test it you have to disconnect it and check the ohms. Would be nice if it actually displayed the outdoor temp. I have had no problem connecting it to the 2.4g band on my Wi-Fi 6 router and have it linked to my Alexa. So far it has been working fine and I like the monthly usage reports from Honeywell comparing my usage to last year.
