The thermostat that was replaced was also a Honeywell but I don't know the model. However, when I set it to be at 72 deg at 6am it was right on. This one I would have to set it at 0530 and even then it might not be up to temp depending on the outside temp. I forgot to mention that I set the heat back to 65 at night.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
