Resido App is years behind

I have had this for about a year. Biggest gripe is the Resido app that sometimes is not in sync, does not work with Ring very well, and gives awful history stats of time the HVAC is on. History is delayed 3 days (which makes no sense in today's instant data era) and just gives a chunk of time used during the 24 hours... not when it came on and off so you can make adjustments. Very dissatisfied and hope to change systems in the near future.

A tech installed the thermostat but left the wifi programming to me. No problem, as I worked in tech for 30 years. Following the directions, which were out of date, wanting me to download an app that no longer exists, I was not successful, even when I found the correct app. I spent at least an hour on the phone waiting and talking to customer support. The guy was not paying attention. I think he was talking to other people or somehow distracted. After about 10 attempts in total, I gave up. My smart son figured it out in about 10 minutes without tech support. They really need some technical writers and attentive support people.

Apartment complex forced this piece of excrement on me. Once it has a schedule programmed into it you can't turn it off. When schedule hits a time point it overrides everything including switching the mode from OFF to COOL.

Minor Items Don't Even Work!

I do not like this thermostat! To preface, we do not use the wifi feature; we wanted a basic thermostat and this is what we received. The backlighting won't stay off and it lights up half of my tiny home, effecting our sleep. I can't figure out how to turn the dumb light off. I've went to brightness and reduced it to '00', but it continues to stay on. In addition, the alert sign won't disappear no matter how many times I go in to review the alerts. Honeywell, how can these issues be fixed?!?!?!

I absolutely love this thermostat. my front door lock is smart, my dooR area has a ring video doorbell and a wyze cam as well as thengarage door, side door etc. The entire house can be controlled via an app but the honeywell app is yet to have any issues. It reminds me of the days Steve Jobs was still around and phones wouldnt go out until they were perfect. well this app is perfection.
App requires internet to work, stupid. It should work entirely on house WiFi. Major design flaw
Does not display outside temp even though signal is at device
The app configuration process is buggy on iOS 13.
Overall it is inferior to nest and the app user interface is poorly designed and inefficient.
Would not recommend buying it

The first month of Runtime data was reported to the app, then it stopped. There appears to be nothing in the instructions or FAQ that indicates how to fix this.

Set up is so easy. I have another smart thermostat but it was so complicated. I like the 5 year warranty too..
