Easy control features

I had this thermostat installed just over two years ago, when I had my furnace replaced. During this time, I have been very happy with its operation. It is easy to control and adjust with the mobile app. Occasionally, I will have to reset the connection with the internet, but only when it goes offline for an extended period of time. The only issue that I have experienced that I have not been able to correct is, the Geofence feature stopped working as expected, and I had to revert to the Schedule platform. I would prefer using the Geofence, as I never would have to make any modifications to temperature settings. But overall, my experience has been very good.

I have had some many problem with this WIFI thermostat staying connected with the app, my next thermostat will not be a Honeywell. I have a eero mash network so I know my wifi connection is good. I am very disappointed and wish I would of went with a better product.

Works and is stylish.

My T6 was installed today with my new HVAC system. It took me about five minutes to read the instructions, learn how to use it, and then to successfully program the T6. It's easy to set up and works like its supposed to work. A bonus for me is that it looks stylish on the wall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Override lasts forever.

With our old Honeywell thermostat, when you had it on a schedule but needed to override it (to turn up the heat a degree or two, etc.) it would last for 4 hours and then default back to the schedule. With this thermostat if you override the schedule it stays that way forever and will not default back to the scheduled settings. I don't know how to return it back to the schedule.
I do not write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one. We were excited to finally upgrade our units, but were nervous to upgrade from the dinosaur thermostat that you have to make sure you hold down the faceplate to mash the buttons to turn the temperature up or down to something so “new and fancy.” Touch screen thermostat with an app to control the unit while away? Sure, why not, sign us up! I have to admit, I am not good with technology at all (ask my husband LOL), but this thermostat was SUPER easy to set up and is VERY user friendly. At the touch of a finger, you can control how warm or cool you want your house. The fact that it has wireless capabilities that you can download an app to control the temperature in your house, is beyond words! I live in the Deep South, so our power bills can get EXTREMELY expensive in the summer! With this thermostat, using the app lets me turn off my unit while we are away to save a TON of money and energy and set to have it turn back on a few minutes before I arrive home to a nice, cool house. This feature alone makes it worth it! This thermostat is a game changer. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Geofence rarely works

My heating contractors installed this unit for me. The first one completely failed within a year of installation. The second rarely recognizes that I have left the vicinity and when it does it often does hours later when I have actually arrived home.
The mobile app to control the unit typically takes a few tries to actually log in and there is no option to indicate on the app that you are not home when the unit/app have not recognized that you have crossed the geofence.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible connection

Terrible design. Is not easy to set up for wifi remote access. Read the manual and still at a loss

No push notifications!!

This is a great thermostat. How they could leave out something so simple as push notification is beyond me.
