The programmable schedule is great, and able to change when out of town is great. Only thing I don’t like is the constant backlight. The device got mounted in eye shot of my dtrs room and she likes to sleep door open, there is a constant light in her sight. Unfortunately the builder didn’t clue in to this, otherwise we would have put it on the opposing wall with no issues!! Overall happy but instead of a dimmer light only on the back light it would be nice to turn off completely

Hi, thanks for the review. You can set the screen brightness to 0 by performing the following. 1. At the thermostat press menu. 2. Arrow to brightness and select. 3. Press the - arrow to change the setting to 0. 4. Press select to save.
I didn’t think it would make a difference, but I really am happy with the thermostat. I like the flexibility and the idea I can control the temperature from anywhere. It has had a positive impact on my electric bill.
Love the thermostat. Not huge, obtrusive, ugly thing. Just right size with just the right options. Love the app but the weather rarely shows up and the data for run time is inconsistent. Wish they would fix that, and I would give it 5 stars.

Hi, we appreciate your feedback and would like the opportunity to help. Our Support Center link at the top of the page has all the ways you can get in contact with us to discuss where the issue may be.
I like the fact that the device is very easy to use and quick to get set up. It's a simple device, features are easy to understand, and it's Wifi connectable. I love to part that you can remotely set the controls.
It stays connected and has some nice features. I wish that the history would show more detail like the nest, but it is very reliable! I am using it with a Lennox HVAC. The contractors replace my Nest with this one since it works with variable speed. I researched the Lennox line of thermostats, and although they are feature rich, I don't think they are as reliable and way more expensive. I would recommend it!
I bought this Thermostat, and did find the instructions daunting, and eventually called the Resideo support phone number. It was then I got all my questions answered and learned about how to use and “set ranges for” the templates that make this thermostat quite marvelous. The point of the templates are to lock out users from making undesirable temperature settings. It’s got to be bullet proof so a tenant doesn’t dial down the AC to 62 degrees, and the T6 can set a normal minimum among other things. The internet connection is strong, and my phone receives updates of AC usage as well as loss of internet signal which translates to a power loss. Other cool features are IPhone texts whenever the house temperature is below (AC) or above (heat) a set threshold - another template. Weekly runtimes are generated for AC and/or heat and available on the Resideo App so I can easily compute estimate kW/hour electricity usage - if you know the wattage of your AC.
