Hi, the auto changeover feature can be enabled on this model by performing the following. 1. Tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select." 3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit." 4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off."
My new HVAC was installed October 2020, and this was the thermostat that came with it. The thermostat they installed died in less than 1 year. So second thermostat was installed September 2021. 2022 and 2023 no issues, now September 2024 and thermostat #2 has died. So now I'm on my third one, and taking bets on how long it will last.

I had a new AC installed along with this thermostat. The WiFi connection with the Resideo app is sporadic at best. It disconnects constantly and after several l hours reconnects and then disconnects and back and forth. It is not reliable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Done That, this is not what you should expect. Please make sure that you have a 2.4 GHz only network. If you connect this thermostat to a dual band network, it will lose connection once the 5 GHz network is broadcasted. Our Support Center link at the top of the page has all the ways you can get in contact with us to discuss where the issue may be.
For the life of me I cannot find a way to set this unit so that it will maintain a temperature range where it will automatically toggle between heating and cooling. I am stuck with either having it set to Cool, where it maintains a temp below a set maximum or Heat which maintains a temp above a set minimum. On days when the mornings are cool are the afternoon is hot, this is a PAIN, let alone a week where the temperatures are all over the place. This seems like a very basic function for a thermostat to have. It’s pretty accurate to call it a piece of garbage.

It came with my new HVAC system that is 9 mos old, it was replaced at 4 mos because it would not stay connected to my wifi and the second one is not any better than the first. Honeywell should stop making it's T6 Pro and replace the one's in service. Bad Bad product!

Works as intended and I especially like the wi-fi capability so I can control from my phone from anywhere. Ive only been in the new home for 2 months but so far, no problems.
The thermostat and the smart environment are lacking a lot of features. First of all, it does not measure humidity and cannot be set to reduce humidity to a certain level. When changing modes on the thermostat, the system reacts immediately, with no delay at all. This is problematic, because if the thermostat is set to off, and you want to set it to cool, you have to tap 3 times on the mode button and it first cycles through emergency heat, heat, and then cool. By the time you reach cool, it already started heating. For safety reasons, this means that the condenser (heat pump) will then need to have a break of a few minutes, before it can change from heating operation to cooling mode. For exactly this reason, most thermostat have a delay of ~5 seconds, before they start executing the new setting. When connecting the thermostat to wifi, it does not automatically re-connect when the wifi signal stops working (for example when rebooting the router). Insteady, I had to manually turn wifi off and on on the thermostat. The Google home connection is very basic, it only allows to set temperature and heat/cool mode. There is no setting for turning on/off the fan or set circulation mode.
Our builder installed the thermostat, so we did not had a choice. If you have one, you should certainly buy something else.
