Lasted three years, just died. Thermostats used to last a lifetime. This thing is just junk. Do yourself a favor and buy something you can replace easily, not this

This unit might be the worst thermostat I’ve had experience with when it was alive. The “smart” capability is the equivalent of a 3 year old trying to take an Algebra test. The app to support these features never works as intended and lacks critical elements and UI. My unit died within 4 years. Woke up to a feeezing cold house in the middle of winter to a dead thermostat. Multiple neighbors (5 that I know of) have also had theirs die within 3 years. Don’t waste your money.
The thermostat works well and I can monitor through the App when away; however, it does not include a function to set both an upper and lower temperature threshold on which either the heat or AC comes in automatically once those thresholds are reached…only one: either heat or AC.
Our nest thermostat was incompatible with our new unit, so they installed this thing. It's mid.. less features than a 10 year old nest. It works though...

Hi, thank you for taking the time to rate the T6 Pro thermostat, we appreciate the feedback and will utilize your comments.
We had this thermostat installed with a new hvac unit in 2023. Because I'd had a previous one by Honeywell and was connected to the app I had a hard time getting reconnected with this new model. I talked to a tech person with Residio to get signed in to the site. Once there I didn't think I'd have any trouble getting my unit recognized and get to the app. What a chump I am! I get to where it wants an ID and put that in. It's the same number/alpha I gave the tech, but the web site doesn't like the "format" of the exact same thing listed just as it shows on my thermostat screen. Added to that they want a CRC no. which I can't find anywhere. Fortunately in the questions and answers here it says there isn't one. Good news, now when I leave it blank it won't go forward, I'm stuck! Even if they ask, I'm saying don't buy this one, it stinks! All was easier with Honeywell too. Residio is an unknown.

Hi nannieb43, we apologize you're experiencing this with registration to the app. It sounds like you may be attempting to add the unit to the Total Connect Comfort web portal which requires a CRC number. This model uses the Resideo app to control the thermostat remotely. We're here to help if you need assistance in the future - just visit our Support Center link at the top of the page to find ways to contact us.
