Horrible thermostat

I hate that this device can't handle heat/cold at the same time. It is either one or the other, but the device is not smart enough to do either depending on the situation. You need to switch it from one to another if temperatures change. For example, the house was on cold setting all day and it is set to 69. Now the temperature drops outside and the temperature inside the house falls below 69, nothing happens because you have to change the setting to heat first in order to get it back up to 69. My Nest can easily handle this and therefore, this thermostat gets 1 star. I only have it currently because the house I bought had it pre-installed.

Hi, we apologize you're having trouble with you unit. You can enable the auto changeover feature by performing the following.
1. On the T-series thermostat tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select." 3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit." 4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off." 5. Press done to save.
It works, and there is an app, however it doesn't work with Google and thus I can't ask my Android phone to adjust the temperature. The setup was highly obnoxious, especially considering I had to put in 2 (upstairs & downstairs). The settings are only heat, cool, or off - there's no setting for these spring and fall days in the South where it's 45 in the morning and 85 in the afternoon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi MrNate, we're sorry to hear you experienced this, the auto changeover feature can be enabled from the thermostats setup menu, please see below.
1. On the thermostat tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select." 3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit." 4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off."
If the Auto Changeover feature is turned on on the thermostat, it can now be turned on in the Resideo App or by changing the Mode on the thermostat.
We had put off purchasing internet till there was a problem. We now have a wifi source and we regret putting of getting it. This thermostat is grrat and we should have done this sooner. Now we do we love this thermostat!!
It will only work at a half degree differential. Meaning, if you set it at 70, then at 70.5 it cuts on and brings the temperature down to 70. It cycles too often and you can not do anything to reduce the amount it cycles. There is a cycle per hour suggestion but it overrides the CPH setting for that half degree temperature different. It will come on and run sometimes for only 20-30 seconds and cut off again. It's way too sensitive and you can not set it to wait for a full degree or two as is my preference. If not for the compressor off delay, which I have set at the maximum of 5 minutes, it would have already ruined my system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, we appreciate your feedback and would like the opportunity to help. Our Support Center link at the top of the page has all the ways you can get in contact with us to discuss where the issue may be.
Very good thermostat should be rated at 4.5 stars. My only concern is the Run Time information is 3 to 5 days late. I can not see how well it is working today, only last week. The adjustments I make with my iPhone work well. Only wish the Run Time information was up to date.
