We recently switch to bienergy heating and we had to change our old Ecobee thermostat for this one, which is not easy to navigate. It was hard to create the schedules and it does not switch automatically from the regular heating system to the « emergency » heating system when below a certain temperature outside which means there is cold air running through the vents until I manually change the mode on the thermostat. This is really not useful since we had several days of cold temperature where the heat pump would just stop working and the thermostat will not automatically tell the gas furnace to start. Otherwise, I haven’t try in the summer so I don’t know if we’ll have a similar problem.

I have been using this thermostat for over a month in our mountain home. I have had no issues so far with our dual fuel system. The app has been easy to use and the temperature adjustment works as expected while we have been away. The temperature will not go lower than 50 degrees. My previous thermostat let me adjust to a lower setting.

Love this thermostat. It is WiFi and is easy to program. It has nice features like the geofence. I can set it lower when we leave for the day and automatically it will be warm when I return.
