Simple and good at what does, which is not a lot

Not remotely as good as 2 Nest thermostats have had — not intuitive and not many things you can do with the app, except change temp.

Thermostat glitched many times, left us frozen

Thermostat never quite worked correctly, despite being installed professionally and being checked out several times. Our new cold climate heat pump is functioning fine now with a standard dumb thermostat, but several times the Honeywell had our heat pump stuck in constant defrost, meaning we had no heat. No settings in the thermostat were incorrect, it was simply a persistent glitch. Attempting to set a schedule also caused the thermostat to not allow the heat pump to run if it was before below 40° outside, despite the set temp on the thermostat being 15°. Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
