Coming from Ecobee, this thermostat is lacking in functionality. Scheduling is basic and does not allow for flexible blocks of time. I miss the room sensors the most. No sensors means that I cannot set temp for problem areas, and MUST rely on thermostat placement in hallway that is representative of rooms that need heating or cooling.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit does not have an automatic setting. My house has a lot of windows and I live in the Midwest. The problem is that it does not allow for the solar passive heat to be accounted for and hence I often have to switch from heat to cold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
