My unit has shut down. The screen is dark and will not illuminate to reset the unit and link it to the internet. I should have bought a Nest thermostat.

Use of thermostat is really easy and functions as needed. The drawback is the delay on data within the app. Information is not “live” which prevents adjusts that you would not see for a couple days later. The data that is provided is limited at best with just simple run time. I would not recommend this thermostat.
