I have bought a T6 about 7 years ago for a previous home and really liked the way it worked. I now have the latest version of the T6. I like the T6 as far as accuracy but the schedule settings are not as accurate as I am used to. When I set a time for a function I thought that was when the HVAC unit would start the scheduled event. Now the function is completed at the time I scheduled. Not used to the change.
Once set up, I don't have to touch the thermostat. The schedule options are less than my prior thermostat, though. I can't set a separate schedule for the weekend vs the week. There are no customizable screens, so it's just a plain screen with the room temp displayed. I expected more for the price.
Pros: Very easy to program. Temperature visible from a distance. Reasonable price. Cons: Requires manual switching from cooling function to heat function. (The non-programmable Thermostat it replaced could auto switch from heat to cool function)
My contractor installed the thermostat (upgraded an older one). Very easy to use with the Resideo phone app. I never really touch the thermostat, just adjust everything from my phone. I have it turn on to different temperature settings automatically during the 24 hour day. Very pleased with this thermostat. Very reliable too.
The residio app does not support the Honeywell color thermostats nor reporting of runtime on the color thermostats. The number of schedule. Needs to be increased to at a minimum six. We do more than get up go to work and go to bed. The t6 thermostat also lacks a humidity sensor for display of indoor humidity.
I love the thermostat. It does way more than I need it to do. It's way smarter than I am. I love the fact that I can check status from anywhere and adjust accordingly. Gearheads will love it.
