I purchased a new home. The thermostat was installed by the builder. There was no instruction to set up and I locked it by mistake. The technician had to install a new because he did know the either.
With strong WiFi always on, the Honeywell home app continuously say that they are offline because the connection was lost. However, both thermostats show connected to WiFi and I can even ping them on my local network.
The interface reminds me of working on a Dell (PC's Limited) computer with monochrome monitor in 1986. The remote app has almost NO functionality. I can adjust temperature only. Can't change mode, and the T-Stat isn't auto change over.
I've never been on the smart home train, but I am happy I dipped my toe this time. It has been awesome to be able to connect to the Honeywell Home app away from the house when out of town to get the house to a comfortable temp before we arrive.
