The thermostat was installed long before we took possession of our new house. We tried to program it and work it, but it started given us erroneous readings (one of two we have). We finally requested an installer come out and explain things to us. He did a good job, but had to review what he had previously done. We have a Lennox heat pump, and the this Honeywell thermostat works with it, but not in Heat Pump mode. We wish we had known that when we tried to change settings. It seems to be working fine now with a replacement for the one that temp readings were incorrect.
I believe it is likely the Resideo interface that is my problem, but unless I completely log out and sign back in, the outside weather and temp does not update on my mobile from one viewing to the next. It helps to know that it's not really 95 degrees outside, when I sign in to see my readings at 11pm at night! But if my previous viewing was at 4pm that same afternoon, that's what I see. With my thermostat set at 76, it is inconclusive to note that my AC is not running. To compound the difficulty, the software will not use facial recognition to sign me in quickly, so I have to type in my complete email address and password every time. On the bright side, the software does seem to work correctly to adjust the temp remotely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Taking away 2 stars for the app setup that won't work unless you have email available on another device. The app setup is terrible. You have to get a code from your email but when you go to your email, the app sends you back to the start to request another code and it's an annoying never-ending circle. A lot of people only have email on their phones, so they have no other way to check their email AND setup the app at the same time. The thermostat works great but I'm paying more to get the wifi connectivity which is useless if you only have email on your phone.
I like the T6 WiFi thermostat. Not difficult to program. I like the ability to use the Resideo app on my phone to monitor the T-stat either from home or away from home. The only thing I do not like is the inability to consistently monitor usage. It seems to be quite abbreviated and intermittent. I do not know why!
Easy enough to use. The app is adequate and scheduling is quite easy and straightforward. HOWEVER, the run time data is 72 hours delayed to be available on the app. Not acceptable. Previous other vendors thermostats provided real time results. That was 5 years ago.
Works great. No issues. Love being able to control the temperature and being able to see what is going on with your HVAC unit at any time. Experiencing lower utility bills also.
