Had to rely on ChatGPT to program the AUTO mode. Should include examples in the manual to follow. Other than that, once the Auto mode is set it is very easy to use the App to control it remotely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although it may sound odd, we love our new thermostat. It’s easy to program, has an easy-to-read display, and the ability to check the status when we’re away makes this a perfect fit for us. As “snowbirds” having the ability to check from many miles away gives us a real sense of security.
I really enjoy the convenience of the app with this thermostat. However, it was a little difficult to get set up in the first place as a previous owner was still attached to the thermostate.
Great product, and it is so nice to be able to adjust the temperature from you phone. The only issue is that if you lose wifi you cannot work the unit and I lost wifi during a recent storm. Luckily it did not last too long, and I need to figure out if this be detached from the wife so one can operate it during severe storms.
Menus are not intuitive. A big screen but you have to scroll through to see all of the information. It is unclear how to do things and I am offen standing at the thermostat fumbling about. The app is better.
