Reliable and easy to setup and understand. Doesn't have an "auto" feature where device can switch from heating to cooling automatically.

Hi, the auto changeover feature can be enabled from the installer menu by performing the following. 1. On the thermostat tap the screen so menu shows at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press and hold the menu button until device setup appears, and press select. 3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press edit. 4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to On. If the auto changeover feature is turned on on the thermostat, it can now be turned on in the App or by changing the Mode on the thermostat.
The T6 PRO SMART Thermostat is easy to install Easy and simple to use. The touchscreen is clear, and the app makes remote control a breeze. I love how it lets me set schedules and helps save energy. Reliable, efficient, and a great value. Highly recommended!
The house I sold had a Wi-fi 9000. The house I bought had a faulty thermostat so the HVAC guy installed this unit. It lacks the whistles and bells of the other model but does what it's supposed to do. I miss the filter reminder's big orange button on the other one. Overall, though, this one works well. The app on the phone is more useful than the face of the thermostat, which just shows the current temp. Compared to the 9000, it's minimalistic but I like it.
I found the unit easy to use and attractive, but rather dim and hard to read. The major issue, highly disappointing, was its lack of an adjustable dead band (the manual indicates it uses a non-adjustable zero deadband - that is, instead it uses an "algorithm" to decide how much house temperature drop triggers the restarting the furnace). What that means for us, our furnace (with moderate temperatures outside), is cycling on about every 12-15 minutes. Two thermometers placed near the thermostat show no change in room temperature from beginning to end of the heating cycle; neither does the thermometer on the thermostat, so the frequent cycling on/off of the equipment is necessary from a room temperature standpoint. But it does cause excessive, unacceptable and expensive wear on the equipment, frequent noise from the blower, and increased energy costs. In the past we have had a thermostat on which the dead band could be set (we used 2 degrees F.), which provided an acceptable swing in room heat while reducing equipment wear and energy use. We will be swapping out this thermostat for one that has an adjustable dead band. Unfortunately it appears they are becoming hard to find.
