This thermostat came with the house. I have always used nest thermostat’s. I gave this a try, but I have not been impressed. This is not something I would purchase for another home or recommend. The features can be a bit difficult to navigate, it lacks in a more modern feel for the home.

The new thermostat was installed with our new HVAC system. This is the first time we have had a wireless connected thermostat and it works very well. We receive notifications of connectivity issues which is helpful to determine if our power has gone out or the internet is not connecting in our home. Very satisfied with this product.
No, I could not get it to connect to our network no matter what I tried. I worked on it for 6 hours. We have 6 older Honeywells in our buildings that connected easily and have worked for 5 years successfully. I will have to replace this one with something else. Won't connect via any of the available security protocols. It does connect to our network when I turn of security. But we can't do that long term. Huge disappointment.

When the building's wifi is down, the thermostat does not work. We should be able to connect to the thermostat with our hotspot during those times.
