I resisted joining the Internet of Things (IoT) throughout our home, not wanting to put our lives online (see what I did there?). But the Honeywell pedigree, architecture of the App, and features of this T6 Pro smart-stat convinced me to finally join the 21st century (two decades late). It has encouraged me to take command of our energy use, rather than just letting the utility company win. Installation was straightforward. The "goof-plate" (bezel) lets you retrofit this T6 to replace older, wider thermostats (in our case, the venerable, classic ChronoTherm III; we have them all over the house. When I'm feeling rich enough, I'll replace them all with T6s).

Have 3 separate of these in our home for 5 years now. 2 have gone out the last 4 months. Absolute garbage. Don’t buy these if you live in AZ (or anywhere for that matter) because they go out at the worst times and ONLY 5 YEARS???!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't swap between ac and heat on it's own, can't talk to other zones. really unrefined and featureless for the price

Hi, we're sorry to hear you're having trouble, the unit does have the auto changeover feature where it can switch between heating and cooling automatically, please see the following direction.
1. On the thermostat tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom.
2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select."
3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit."
4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off."
5. Press "Done" to save.

Then, he answered all of my questions. I felt confident that PBCI was going to deliver the best product. And did They Deliver! All rooms worked on remained as they were. No dirt or dust to be found. The workmen were polite and respectful. The whole job for me took a week- 5 days. We are quite happy :)))
