Horrible thermostat

I hate that this device can't handle heat/cold at the same time. It is either one or the other, but the device is not smart enough to do either depending on the situation.
You need to switch it from one to another if temperatures change. For example, the house was on cold setting all day and it is set to 69. Now the temperature drops outside and the temperature inside the house falls below 69, nothing happens because you have to change the setting to heat first in order to get it back up to 69. My Nest can easily handle this and therefore, this thermostat gets 1 star. I only have it currently because the house I bought had it pre-installed.

Hi, we apologize you're having trouble with you unit. You can enable the auto changeover feature by performing the following.
1. On the T-series thermostat tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom of the screen.
2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select."
3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit."
4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off."
5. Press done to save.

Annoying that the thermostat can’t be set for a temp and automatically adjust heat or ac when needed. Instead manually flipping between modes seems like a mis on feature when you are used to Nest like thermostats that have this functionality.

This thermostat replaced the native unit on a new Mitsubishi heat pump. The Misubishi unit had wifi issues and regularly went out of service. The T6, with a wired design, works fine— but has to be set in gas furnace mode, since it’s not designed for a heat pump. Hence, more electricity usage. However, it’s served the purpose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's pretty good it's pretty easy to set up. I like the way I can schedule for it to come on or to stay off when we're away from our home. Love the fact that it tells me when the filter is dirty or needs changing.
