This is a great little thermostat!

This thermostat replaced my Honeywell RTH7600D that we've used for 14+ years.
When my HVAC system died in June, I hired a company to replace it, and they replaced the thermostat with this one.
I can connect to it via WiFi, and can control it via the app. I like how I can control the system with my phone! I can even set the fan to auto, circulate, and on. "Circulate" has the fan to come on at a low speed at irregular times to circulate the air around the home. "On" turns it on all the time, but at about half-speed.
The only thing I miss from my old thermostat is the inability for this one to automagically switch between heat and cool based on settings. But even that is just a minor, itsy complaint.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to rate the T6 Pro Smart thermostat. You can enable the auto changeover feature from the installer menu by performing the following. 1. On the T-series thermostat tap the screen so "Menu" shows at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press and hold the "Menu" button until "Device Setup" appears, and press "Select." 3. Use the arrow button to go to function 300 at the top of the screen and press "Edit." 4. Use the arrow buttons to set the Auto-Changeover feature to "On" or "Off." 5. Select Done to save. If the Auto Changeover feature is turned on on the thermostat, it can now be turned on in the Resideo App or by changing the Mode on the thermostat.
The Honeywell T6 Thermostat is just what I needed to control the climate in my home. I love the app, as I can adjust the temperature and program from anywhere.
The thermostat and the smart environment are lacking a lot of features. First of all, it does not measure humidity and cannot be set to reduce humidity to a certain level. When changing modes on the thermostat, the system reacts immediately, with no delay at all. This is problematic, because if the thermostat is set to off, and you want to set it to cool, you have to tap 3 times on the mode button and it first cycles through emergency heat, heat, and then cool. By the time you reach cool, it already started heating. For safety reasons, this means that the condenser (heat pump) will then need to have a break of a few minutes, before it can change from heating operation to cooling mode. For exactly this reason, most thermostat have a delay of ~5 seconds, before they start executing the new setting. When connecting the thermostat to wifi, it does not automatically re-connect when the wifi signal stops working (for example when rebooting the router). Insteady, I had to manually turn wifi off and on on the thermostat. The Google home connection is very basic, it only allows to set temperature and heat/cool mode. There is no setting for turning on/off the fan or set circulation mode.
Our builder installed the thermostat, so we did not had a choice. If you have one, you should certainly buy something else.

It came with my new HVAC system that is 9 mos old, it was replaced at 4 mos because it would not stay connected to my wifi and the second one is not any better than the first. Honeywell should stop making it's T6 Pro and replace the one's in service. Bad Bad product!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
