Thermostat came with new home. Major issues trying to set it up to begin with. Had to create an entire 2.4 Wi-Fi network just for the stupid thing. Schedule doesn't work at all. Had to try two different phones to even set it up initially. Do yourself a favor buy a nest.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

never shuts off the fan if you set it to cool. Even when not actively cooling. Terrible design. Would never buy again

Not impressed. Not a fan. Builder grade thermostat in a new construction house. Thermostat changes temps on its own. Gets hot when temp is set to 69 on thermostat and app.
Had the product for over a month. It seems to perform as advertised. The best feature is the owner's ability to control home temperature remotely via the Resideo app or, after integration with the corresponding Amazon and/or Apple apps - with voice. Another appealing feature is geofencing, when thermostat controls the inside temperature, when it “knows” that nobody is at home. Although, a few times geofencing didn’t work as expected, it’s a small price to pay for a really good product.

Below I listed a few tips that will improve the accuracy when using the Geofece feature, hope this helps! -Make sure Resideo app location permission are set to "always". -Verify the thermostat is set to use a Geofencing schedule (not time based schedule) within the Resideo App, and that Geofence is currently On within the app Menu. -Verify if other devices are being used for the account where thermostat is registered to, will not be recommended to have other devices with the app logged in. -If multiple users for it, verify all added users are using separate accounts to log into the Resideo App. -Verify the device is a smartphone, not a tablet. Using a tablet to log into any account associated with a a geofenced location can result in the Resideo app believing that there is 1 user that is always home if the tablet is always left at home. -Verify Location Services are enabled on the smartphones for all users associated with the location. GPS settings for all devices should be set to their highest possible accuracy. -Verify Background App Refresh is enabled for all users.

I’ve had this thermostat for about two years. Here we are stuck without any air conditioning in the middle of the summer. I’m sure this will be a significant cost to resolve. Terrible experience in a brand new home with a completely new system. How do companies sleep at night selling unreliable products that will cost consumers significantly than expected. Severely disappointed.

Very difficult to program. Only a 22 year old will know how to work this piece of junk. My suggestion: since VERY FEW 22 year old people own homes, get a focus group of 60 year old home owners to make this product useful.
