This Thermostat will not run a program. It always says we are away so nothing works right. Don't waste your time or money on thing

The app is terrible. I did not want to enable notifications, location data for geofencing, or smart features. I only wanted to use the app to manage the settings of the thermostat for my in-law apartment while respecting the privacy of any occupants. The app asked if I wanted to enable these features every time I opened it instead of remembering my preferences. I had to close a pop-up asking me to enable those permissions every time I opened it. The app was so aggressive about asking for permissions to access more of my data I did not trust having the app on my phone or the thermostat connected to my home network. I uninstalled the app and disconnected the thermostat from WiFi. Total waste of money.
