We got this new thermostat because the previous one, another brand, was never connected to the internet. I thought the problem was the location of the modem/router to the location of this particular thermostat , upstairs and far away. Guess not as THIS thermostat has been online since installation, even after power outages. So pleased that my HVAC contractor suggested replacing the other one.

Biggest advantage was simply “snapping out” the non-smart builder-provided Honeywell & replacing with the T6. The setup was a bit confusing for a non-professional, but after a few tweaks up and running. The Geofencing is a particularly attractive feature for a vacation home as it tracks your location and kicks into away mode. All-in-all solid. Does what I need them to do.
