Cannot set distance of on/off. This one, if set at 70, comes on, goes off at 72. Repeats. Comes on too soon. Heater is always starting and stopping. My old one, set at 70, would come on at 68, go off at 72. Meaning that basically, it was set at 68. Where they recommend we set it. If it 'hung' at 71 and I was cold, I just go turn it to 70 to heat it up for a bit and turn it back down. My house is old and doesn't hold heat when cold. Nor does it hold cold when it's hot here in the desert. Other than that, it's nice to be able to pre-heat my house before I get back from going out, from my phone.

Sometimes the heating isn’t accurate. When you open the app it takes forever to give you the present temperature. Also, when checking your usage, it’s about two days behind. I recently updated the app and still no improvement with those issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've never had a smart thermostat. I have to say I am very impressed. I like that you can do everything in the app, including scheduling a time you want the temperature changed.

Unit doesn’t automatically switch between heat or cool at set temperature. Doesn’t seem capable of wifi/app use if controlling heated floors.
