Was working (remotely) well until the wifi router was changed and SSID/password was different. Can only be reconnected to new router with the app. It should allow wifi SSID/pwd settings directly on the thermostat (we're remote - can't burden property manager or renters to do this with the app, and we don't want them to have control either). Maybe require PIN/code to be able to do this with authority from owner.

Not so "Smart" thermostat. Wifi will not stay connected for more than a few hours. Once the connection drops we need to reconfigure the connection from scratch which is cumbersome and time consuming. Once the wifi is connected, our configuration allows us to change only the current temperature setting. App should allow us to change all settings and schedules for the thermostat. If other actions are possible, they are not easily or readily available in the App.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't seem to turn off notification alerts. They turn on at all hours of the day, and wake you up in the middle of the night with a bright light. Avoid this product at all costs.

Love this very easy to use thermostat. It is a dream to be able to control the house temperature at any time, any place, from anywhere with the Honeywell app. I've always kept the temperature as efficient as possible, but it is so much easier to do if I leave the house and forget to dial down or up. With the Honeywell T6, I can program a specific temp when no one is at home. As soon as I drive away, the app senses when I have crossed a geofence and adjusts the temp to what I specify. It returns it to the regular temp when I get nearer to the house, so it is good to go when I walk in the door. The best part is if I get too cold or hot during the night, I can grab my phone and change the temp without having to get out of bed!
