Don’t get this model if clicking noises bother you. When the a/c turns on or off the thermostat clicks twice very loudly. I wish I could had kept my old one, it didn’t make a noise that I could hear
The app is not great and the support for the app is non-existent. I reached out several times for app support and have not heard back. I installed a humidifier in my HVAC system but the app doesn't allow you to see the humidity level or control it.
Doesn't stay connected when other devices work fine on the same connection in the same area. Pretty disappointing for something with the Honeywell name on it.
I had this thermostat installed at my residence when I purchased my new home. It was installed by the builder. I have always used Honeywell thermostats on all my homes and never had any problems with them. I like the T6 but I had a hell of a time trying to connect the thermostat to my phone and the app. After several days and much frustration I finally gave up. I finally had to get help to make it happen. I was ready to buy a different brand. But now that it is connected it works well. It is 2021 this thing should work on the 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz wifi speed. I don't recommend this unit. Get a dual band unit.
The WiFi thermostat has been installed for 3 weeks.
It mostly does its job but I do not yet trust it. Twice in the first week it lost WiFi connectivity. The first time I had to physically remove the face of the thermostat to reset it. The 2nd time I had to remotely reboot my modem after waiting 6 hours for it to reconnect. All other WiFi devices continued to work perfectly without any complications.
WiFi connectivity has been lost several times since then but it restored itself.
A WiFi thermostat that cannot automatically restore connectivity is of little value. I will restate that no other WiFi device in our house has had these issues so it is specific to the thermostat.
