Would like to see a couple additional features. 1) Capability to remotely lock and unlock the thermostat. 2) Email alerts if the furnace didn't ignite. To just show it is in heating mode does not indicate whether it is actually heating until the temperature drops (which requires constant monitoring). Installed in our church, so these remote features would be most beneficial, and are available on other makes/models.
The thermostat functions quite well. To use the thermostat on its own is not hard but gets some getting use to. What really helps is using the APP. A lot more detail is available to work with. What is nice about the app is that it gives remote access wherever one might be to see what the thermostat is doing and being able to control the thermostat remotely. One thing, and maybe another model as the capability of humidity monitoring and possibly control as the furnace we have has that feature but this is not a deterrent from this thermostat. Overall, once the use of the thermostat is understand, it is not bad at all.
That it is very reliable and will give you peace of mind. I left cold Minnesota with a very old furnace. Just last night the app alerted me that the temp dropped below 55, as directed. I was so impressed. It gives a person a chance to get help before there is a major problem. I would absolutely recommend this. I would even do endorsements!
I had to replace my HVAC system at my beach home several weeks ago and this was the thermostat I chose. So far it has been outstanding and I love the features it has, including being able to monitor it by proxy via WiFi. Great product!
Would get 4+ messages a day that my smart thermostat was offline. Even when it showed it was connected still had issues controlling it from my iPhone and Apple Watch. Had other smart thermostats and never had this much of a problem. Was hoping it would correct itself but waited to long to return in. The unit went in the garbage and I purchased an Ecobee and this have been perfect since
