Difficult to figure out how to change settings!

This is not user friendly and the booklet that comes with it has no instructions on how to change settings, put it on vacation mode or do most anything. I touched various things on the thermostat, but could not figure out how to change settings!! User manual only shows initial set up and then pages of tiny print for professional installers!!

I have a few issues with this one. My first issues is the fact that if you set the brightness control to its lowest setting it still shows very bright at night. Maybe offer a dim setting for bedtime hours. Second, the device always shows the status as 'away' even though I am home and I have the geofencing location setup and Bluetooth is always on since I have my smartwatch on.
