my T6 Thermostat refuses to stay attached to the router. This is my second T6 Thermostat. My first one worked for about 18 months before it quit. Right around the time you took over Honeywell. I started getting messages when I would sigh in. asking to create a new account. I asked myself Why I just signed in with this one. I saw no Email from your company stating That I needed to do this. So I ignored it. I got tired of waiting and thought maybe I should replace my router with a new one. With the new router in place I tried to attach the OLD Thermostat and it worked for 6 weeks then quit I called the HVAC guy to come and Replace the OLD Thermostat with a NEW Thermostat it worked for 4 weeks. I started getting messages when I would sign in. asking to create a new account. again I saw no Email and I ignored the messages. 2 weeks later then the Thermostat Stopped talking to the Router And this is where I am today. -- Richard
PROS - App works well to control temperature and other features from anywhere - Runtime and Circulate
CONS - White screen wastes battery power, can't be dimmed or changed to system setting (dark); really annoying in darkness - No status indicator: is the furnace on or not? - Temperature inaccurate, reads 2° high - Doesn't track with ambient temps in real time. I think it only samples ambient at intervals resulting in poor comfort - There's no fan "low/high" setting - Manual doesn't specify the "circulate" intervals.
Overall, a lousy product. Consumer Reports was charitable in their review.
I have a wood stove in the basement with a blower motor feeding into the main ductwork. Use the remote to set the fan to run when I have the wood stove burning.
