The thermostat functions fine, however the text is too small and fine to easily read, there’s no color indication of what mode it is in or where it is cooling or heating or whether the fan is running at the moment. The Apple Watch app is much more informative than the thermostat’s display.

I purchased this thermostat for a summer home in New Yorks Adirondack Mountains. During the winter months I shut off the water and drain all my waterlines. I would keep the heat on at 44 degrees F. This new thermostat has me wasting heat and energy by not going below 50 degrees. I will now be paying more to heat a house I am not in. The convenience of the controllable thermostat is nice but things like the lowest setting are not explained anywhere.

Extremely hard to program. No instructions,just a diagram of where options are. No instructions for programming, cannot program. Had to set thermostat at one setting and leave it. Cannot control various options such as sleep, times away, etc. No instructions on air conditioning options. Wish I had old thermostat

Does not last very long

I had my Thermostat installed at the same time as my furnace and AC units. Although the process of setting up the wifi was a bit challenging, it was still manageable. I successfully programmed my schedule and geo-fencing, and the smart thermostat performed admirably. However, one day it suddenly went blank, causing us to go through all the troubleshooting steps for the furnace and drain lines. Eventually, we realized that the issue lay with the thermostat itself, which had malfunctioned. It's quite absurd to think that it only lasted for two years, especially when considering that the previous thermostat lasted for ten years or more before we had to replace the system. Nevertheless, it's still impressive to have a thermostat with all these fancy features, although it's important to be aware that it may have a relatively short lifespan.
