Subpar Would Never purchase Compared to Prior Unit

Very cheap wall unit in my opinion. No way to set filter change alert like my previous unit. Does not show indoor humidity like my last wall unit. Does not show outdoor temperature and humidity like my last unit. Not as user friendly like my last wall unit to setup in my opinion. Very small print which makes it more difficult for viewing unless you are right on top of it. This was installed by the contractor who installed my new heat pump system. He told me he threw away may old unit, which was about 2 years old when I purchased, not sure i believe that. Previous unit: RTH9585WF1012 Smart Series Color Touch Screen Honeywell. Screen size was bigger, and numbers were larger and easier to read. Reminder for filter change, just a much better unit and user friendly.

Works Great for me.

I've been using this model of themostat for 4 years now and it does a great job of controlling both my Ruud air mover, and Ruud heat pump. It allows me to operate my heat pump down to -15C and controls my back-up heat system for below -15C, and for heat pump defrost mode. It pays to be able to understand the installer functions in order to get the most out of this thermostat. It is also great to use the internet connection to be able to operate the thermostat from my phone app Resideo.
Easy to setup, get online and start using with simple to understand instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

T6 thermostat - Do Not Recommend

This unit is weird...set up by HVAC company that installed my new HVAC system. On cool days it works perfectly. It runs the AC until it gets to the desired temperature and then cuts off. On hot days it has a mind of its own and its pretty frustrating. If the desired temperature is set to 74 it will reach that and not stop running on really hot days. It will eventually turn off after sometimes an hour at the set temperature and then it will start back up about a min later. Basically making my AC unit run all day.

Hi JJ15, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The thermostat will run your system until reaching the set point and then will cycle to keep that set temperature. As long as the inside temperature doesn't go below or above the setpoint with the system running, we can say that the thermostat is running properly.
I keep trying to set up programs like days of the week and I cannot program them. There are so many features to use that I'm constantly setting things wrong. this is the most difficult thermostat I've ever had in my life.

Despite the good looking, and wifi feature i highly prefere my previous Honeyweel thermostat….TH8320 ….. Definite step back Thermostat look good , but so little infos available on the screen…… especialy outside température….always need the phone 😳 Also we are in 2023, hard to explain wy other langage is not available…
