Overall, very nice, functional thermostat. I like most of the features. Our previous was a Nest, and am underwhelmed by this one. 1. Don't you think an Auto Mode selection might be appropriate for a thermostat of this level? Disappointing... 2. The last couple of times the power blinked or the internet went down, I had to fully reconnect to WiFi, which is not optimal. Should reconnect automatically, don't you think?
Temperature readings are all over the place causing short cycling on AC. Short cycling will cause premature failure of compressor and not remove humidity from house. Display will be showing 74 degrees and 4 seconds later show 68 degrees for a minute, then back to 70 degrees. It also turns on and off ALL THE TIME ALL DAY LONG as if it detects even 1/10 degree changes and runs it the AC for about 45 seconds and then turns it off. Can't keep my new home comfortable due to erratic behavior. Honeywell had me check voltages and were all good, stepped me through the reset process but it still has a problem. They say I have to go through the home builder to have it replaced. Builder has been called to replace it.
It is not intuitive; it lacks clear setup instructions; Auto (Mode) feature is only available if using the app, not from the Thermostat itself; and when set on a Schedule, it automatically set the temperature to 85 degrees when not set by me...In short, when given the opportunity to switch to another brand, I WILL. That brand has to be better than this!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thermostat cool default locked out A/C. Had to turn that off. Then thermostat failed after >1 year. Contractor won’t use them anymore. Support was horrible. Why have a support staff when all they say is contact your contractor.
