Wow, I had a T5 back in 2018 and that was buggy. The T6 setup process was no different. Hours of troubleshooting, two thermostats to get them to connect to my network after the service said it was unavailable. Turns out they need a separate 2.4ghz only network SSID... Most wifi networks now are dual band and from a ease of use standpoint, most people will struggle trying to figure out what is wrong. The technology in these are likely 10 years old at this point, and some committee likely decided at the time 5ghz network was not worth looking into. My ubiquiti access point literally was literallyhanding out a proper ip address for 2.4ghz and the T6 was simply confused and refused. I am shocked in 2023, that a 2.4ghz only network SSID is required. For non tech savvy people this would be a deal breaker. Please revisit and redesign this.
Very easy to use and program. I live in the Midwest, so it is not uncommon to go from heat to cool in less than a week. This thermostat allows me to keep my home at a perfect temperature.
