My original Honeywell thermostat cratered so I bought this one through a contractor. Cannot change to temperature setting no matter what I do. Shoulda just bought the same model that I had before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had three T6’s installed 6/20 as part of new unit upgrade. One stat failed within 3 months. So heat got stuck on higher temp than we wanted for 3 months. (Second home). The replacement failed within a year. If they work, they are very convenient.
I asked my local furnace company to recommend and install a digital thermostat in a 75 year old beach house that could be monitored and adjusted via cell phone. I am very pleased with the Honeywell T6 Pro Smart Thermostat.
Easy to use and program, works well with the app. The geo fence feature helps me save energy when the house is empty, but starts cooling the house off before I arrive, so when I get home it’s nice and cool.
