My first smart thermostat. Easy to use, good interface. I was worried about the app and security, and spam, but that wasn't the case. I find that the geofence lags a bit, and good respond a little better. It has saved me a lot of money! Overall very happy. Only thing is, like I said, first ever smart thermostat so I have nothing to compare it to.
Meh. We had a Nest, but our HVAC guy talked us into a Resideo and we wish we had not bought it. Our nest had a remote sensor which we loved as our house, like most, varies in temperature quite a bit, depending on where you are located. We tried to buy a remote sensor, but found out that it's not an option with the model we were given. On top of that, the scheduling feature is not as intuitive as the Nest. It functions and that's about it. IMO, it was a waste of money as we had a perfectly functioning thermostat and are now stuck with a less than mediocre one.
This thermostat was quick and easy to set up. The app works good. Manual said to download Honeywell app, but it took a while to figure out they switched to the Resideo app. The only thing I wish was better is the wifi antenna. We hooked 2 of these up in a 20,000sqft shop. The one hooked up no problem, but the other one is not getting wifi from the access point when my phone gets wifi at the same place. I think the reception would probably be fine in a standard house which is what it was intended for, and I'll probably be able to fix it by moving the thermostat. The app works great to be able to check the temperature and adjust it when I'm away from the shop, and setting up a schedule on the app is easy.
