there was no notice to me on the other app or to the installer that you had changed the app to risideo. i didn't know until i called your tech support line. I liked the other app better
Took me numerous attempts, over a six month period of time, to register the device so I could use my cell phone to remotely control the cooling/heating system. I tried and tried and then would just, in frustration, give up. The device then would scroll a message that I should register it. OMG. Finally I did something correctly and it registered. Since that time, the system and remote cell phone control is wonderful. I use it all the time. I recommend the manufacturer develop better instructions.
Once I was helped through the install problem it is easy to use. Wish it had a sensor that sent alert of the temperature drops below a certain level for when you are away long term. Over all happy with it otherwise.
Especially like being able to read and adjust thermostat remotely. It’s reassuring when traveling. The display is simple and has large numerals which are easy to see without glasses. A family member had installed this type of Honeywell thermostat in their vacation home and the features worked well.
Two of these were included as part of a new build purchase and we couldn’t be happier. We had Nest thermostats in our previous house and after those moved into the Google Home app they were terrible. If you’re looking for a smart, simple, and stable thermostat, this is your product.
Easy set up, installed professionally with new heating system. We turn down heat when not there, I use the app to warm the place before we arrive. Love the easy controls from the app and I’m able to monitor from my phone.
The thermostat is easy to use and figure out. Only feature I wish it had; a heat AND cool combination option. Ex: heat if temp drops below 68° and cool if it gets above 72°. With the crazy Texas weather in the evening it’s 70°s but by 2am it’s 40°s, so at bed time it would be nice if the thermostat would keep temp in the middle.
