Its a good stat but i use it for a remote property where i turn the heat down low when we are away, i would have preferred to be able to have a lower heat setpoint than 50 as i was able to do with older honeywell stats. I may switch it out for one of my older stats at another property.

Unintuitive setup. Phone app on iphone keeps going blank, requiring restart of the phone. Registering the device requires code only available on the back of the thermostat, requiring detachment from the wall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great WiFi thermostat! Easy set up to monitor and control our boiler given that the 3 wires needed for the T6 Pro were connected to the old thermostat - black wire is the 24VAC common, white wire is the Heat Relay and the red wire is the 24VAC power from heating transformer. Google Play Store has the Honeywell Home app, now called Resideo Pro for the T6 Pro WiFi as of June 2022. Once app was downloaded onto phone Bluetooth can be used to communicate between phone and thermostat to configure thermostat. App on phone displays thermostat settings; tapping on engineering cog in upper right corner of phone displays “Manage Alerts” to select temperature low and high limits to enable alarm on phone if limits are exceeded. Touchscreen on thermostat also shows settings after “Menu” is pressed for 5 seconds.
