Good thermostat but not great.

I wish that this thermostat also displayed the outdoor temperature and indoor humidity. I don’t like that there is no confirm function when changing the temperature. Also, I wish that there was a way to program a second schedule, or that the vacation mode allowed for different temps to be set for different days or times and not be required to have specific dates selected. Otherwise, this thermostat does what it’s supposed to with the added ease of being able to control it via app.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had a Honeywell 6000 that was damaged by a power surge and had to replace it. Our HVAC company recommended this thermostat. It was incredibly simple to set up and is great to use, both manually and remotely via the wifi.

Thermostat works fine as I have been using it as a thermostat, but I purchased it with the plan to use the app in the future. App is useless plus you need to have location tracking turned on your phone to use it. Bought thermostat for my shop, so I don't want geofencing or anything. Want to be able to turn the heat up in shop from home without having to turn on location. Absolutely no reason to track my location for my use. Location use should be an option for the app use, not a requirement. Took several attempts to connect the app to the thermostat the first time. Worked for a couple days, but now the thermostat shows it is connected to Wi-fi, but app says it is offline so it does not work. Would rate this a zero if I could because of the terrible app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A decent wifi thermostat

Easy to install, good directions, reliable performance; however, the Resideo app for the unit initially did not work and sometimes won't open. Also, the unit is missing a key option: the unit does not have the option of displaying outside temperature. The unit I replaced (York) had the option of displaying outside temperature by adding a customer supplied sensor. The display is also small and black and white. Others are larger and have colour.
I would recommend this to a friend!
