Thermostat works great, but the installation process is very complicated. Like others have mentioned, I also needed to get technical support to help. Could not complete installation myself, and neither could my electrician. First level of help from Honeywell support could not help after being on the phone with them for 90 minutes. They referred me to an elevated help desk, who was supposed to call me back. Three days later, I got an email from them telling me they fixed the problem. It was indeed fixed, and is working great now.
This little thing does what it should. Controllable from my smart phone, being able to adjust temp at night and then schedule it for a two decrease right before I wake up. It’s awesome !!
It’s a solid thermostat. The software is solid, but could use some additions. Primarily a dynamic control that allows the t-stay to set a temp range within a set of degrees of he outside temp. It already has a connection to the location and weather, it’s just one more step.
A few times I’ve turned off the thermostat from my phone to find out it did not turn off. A bit worried as it shows off on the app but the system was still running.
Fundamentally it's a programmable thermostat that gets the job done. However, the app is quirky (one example: if you go to set up a new schedule it deletes the existing schedule) and the device itself does not handle wifi "blips" well - which happen often where I'm at in Florida. I'm happy enough with it, but overall improvements in connectivity and app behavior would make a big difference!
